England are
back home after yet another meek campaign at a major tournament and for
many, eyes are already wandering towards the next domestic season.
None more so than in Manchester, where both clubs embark on new eras with arguably the two best managers in world football.
Pep
Guardiola is in the blue corner, Jose Mourinho the red, with both men
set to be officially unveiled next week as attention is drawn to
potentially the most exciting period in the city's history.
Guardiola
is ready to be presented to City members at the club's training base on
Sunday alongside his coaching staff, while Mourinho is expected to hold
a press conference in the week. The European Championship might still
be in full swing, but the battle for top spot in Manchester has already
begun

Who's signed so far?
It
has been relatively quiet in terms of new faces definitely coming
through the doors at both clubs, but business is notoriously difficult
to complete during a major tournament.
Guardiola
did not mess around in pursuit of Ilkay Gundogan of Borussia Dortmund,
with sporting director Txiki Begiristain managing to thrash out a
£21million deal quickly for the midfielder as they looked to correct a
problem area straight away.
That
is City's solitary signing so far - more will follow in the coming
weeks - while Mourinho landed a new central defender early as well. Eric
Bailly's move from Villarreal even took the player by surprise and
happened in a matter of days, with United paying £30m for the
22-year-old. Mourinho wanted a fresh partner for Chris Smalling at the
heart of his back four.
