The undercard for the Anthony Joshua-Kubrat Pulev continues to fill up. After the Yafai title defense was confirmed, two fights have since been added for the October 28 card in Cardiff.
Frank Buglioni (20-2-1) will defend his British title against Callum Johnson (16-0), the Commonwealth champion. Both are decorated amateurs with Buglioni having more top level experience as a professional. Callum promised fireworks, “neither one of us likes to take a step back. We won’t have to go looking for each other. It’ll be a fan friendly fight and it’s sure to be a tough night for both of us.”
Another Commonwealth Title will be defended. Lenroy Thomas (21-4) came to England in his last bout and won a split decision over Dave Allen (12-3-1). Allen, the larger than life heavyweight, gets a rematch chance and will look to win the title. The winner looks likely to fight GB 2016 Olympian Joe Joyce in their next fight.
These cards are usually quite deep so expect some more announcements. Dereck Chisora has been rumored to be on this card. Scott Quigg, Dillian Whyte, Charlie Edwards and John Ryder are also potential possibilities while Ted Cheeseman, Isaac Chamberlain, Lawrence Okolie, Josh Kelly and Joe Córdoba are just some of the young prospects who could begin the card.
