Chelsea to submit €35m offer to AC Milan for Alessio Romagnoli on Wednesday [Di Marzio]

Chelsea to bid €35m for AC Milan defender

21-year-old Alessio Romagnoli is to be subject of a €35m (+€5m in add-ons) bid from Chelsea tomorrow, according to reliable Italian journalist
The former Roma centre-half joined AC Milan last summer in a €25m deal and 30% of his future transfer will go to Roma, thus likely to push his value up further.
Antonio Conte appears to have given up on Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly and has reportedly made Alessio Romagnoli his new primary target.

Chelsea’s defensive woes

Chelsea conceded two goals at home to League One Bristol City in a 3-2 win tonight and are yet to keep a clean sheet this season, winning both Premier League games 2-1.
The Blues are yet to invest in any new defenders so far this summer, only adding N’Golo Kante and Michy Batshuayi to the first team squad.
