Aaron Ramsey is set to miss out when Chris Coleman names his Wales squad for next month's World Cup qualifier on Wednesday.

The influential Arsenal midfielder is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury and will struggle to be fit for Wales' opening qualifying match for the 2018 World Cup against Moldova on September 5.

Coleman will announce his selection on Wednesday and is expected to keep faith with many of the players who excelled in at Euro 2016 after they beat Slovakia, Russia, Northern Ireland and much-fancied Belgium en route to their semi-final defeat by Portugal.

Midfielder Jonathan Williams will definitely be left out of the squad as he is suffering with a hamstring problem.

Defender Paul Dummett (Newcastle) and striker Tom Lawrence (Leicester) will also hope to be involved but Adam Matthews, on loan at Bristol City from Sunderland, is definitely out after sustaining a hamstring injury.
