Everton's Tim Cahill celebrates scoring their first goal with Mikel Arteta
Tim Cahill says that he will be keeping a keen eye on Sunderland’s results, after the Black Cats announced that David Moyes was their new manager last week.
Moyes has taken over from Sam Allardyce at the Stadium of Light, after the 61-year-old opted to take the England job.
Cahill and Moyes enjoy a strong relationship, from the time when they worked together at Everton earlier in their careers.
And although Cahill says that he will always support Everton, the Australian international is hoping that Sunderland can impress.
Moyes has struggled in his last two jobs - at Real Sociedad and Manchester United - but he has already outlined some ambitious plans for Sunderland.
Moyes has stated that Sunderland can no longer be satisfied with narrowly avoiding relegation, as he wants to start guiding them up the Premier League table.
