Hillary Clinton has become the first ever female nominee of a major US political party.
Let's just let that sink in for a second. This time next year, there could be a woman in the White House. A female president. A woman running the United States of America.
Despite your personal politics, as historical moments go, this one is pretty big.
Rival Bernie Sanders helped make the nomination official on Tuesday night by formally naming Hillary as the Domocratic candidate. Speaking from the Democratic convention floor he stated:
'I move that all votes cast by delegates be reflected in the official record, and I move that Hillary Clinton be selected as the nominee of the Democratic Party for president of the United States.'
Delegates — and women across the world — roared their approval.
Following Michelle Obama's powerful DNC address the day before which showed solidarity for Hillary's bid for the presidency (if you haven't seen it, watch NOW), a whole host of other celebrities, A-listers and influencers have flocked to Hillary's banner, spreading mssages of love, hope and emotional disbelief.
