Imagen activaLuanda,Jul 30 (Prensa Latina) A total of 3748 suspected cases have been reported in Angola, of which 879 are confirmed. The total number of reported deaths is 364 since last December, of which 119 were reported among confirmed cases according to the World Health Organization report of the third week of July.
123 suspected cases have been reported. Mass reactive vaccination campaigns first began in Luanda and have now expanded to cover most of the other affected parts of Angola causing a reduction of cases with no new case in July.

Recently, the campaigns have focused on border areas. All districts continued with house to house immunization campaigns and routine vaccination.

The last case was reported was at the end of June in the municipality of Cahama, Cunene province,some 975 kilómeters from Luanda.

Recently the Representative from WHO , Hernando Agnelli, congratulated the work done by the Angolan government to fight the disease.

According to WHO, Angola got 14 millon vaccines and vacinated 11 million people of a population of 24 million.
