The 20-year-old winger was tipped to outshine Raheem Sterling when the Englishman left for Manchester City in a £49 million deal last summer, but Ibe has struggled since and sent social media into a frenzy on Sunday.
The Liverpool winger was pictured wearing some sort of West Ham merchandise at the weekend and it sparked huge speculation, until Sullivan refuted the rumours that Ibe would be joining the Hammers.
The Ibe rumours are not true! We are not signing him,” Sullivan wrote on Twitter.
Ibe made 27 appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool this season but only scored one goal in the top flight.
He also created just 20 chances and assisted two goals but he did at least complete 60 take-ons, which were the most at the club.
When Ibe burst onto the scene around 15
months ago, after being recalled from a loan spell at Derby County, he
was exciting and fearless in possession but throughout the time working
with Klopp, it appears his confidence has taken a huge knock and so have
his performances as a result.
