Situation report from Abia
Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu few hours ago canceled
his trip to Abia State University Uturu were he was billed to be a guest
lecturer at the University’s median edition of imminent persons
lecture.
The postponement of the event which had received a wide
publicity across the State may not be unconnected with rumours making
the rounds that Dr. Uche Ogah been issued with the certificate of return
following a Judgment delivered byJustice Okon Abang of the Federal High
Court Abuja on Monday which sacked Ikpeazu as Governor.
The Governor reportedly rushed back to the government when
news filtered into town, while the Governor was already on his way to
the state owned University.
The Vice Chancellor of the University while announcing the
postponement of the imminent persons lecture, said Ikpeazu was called to
attend a meeting of national importance at Nigeria’s capital Abuja
following the death a chieftain Of the People’s Democratic Party in
Chief Ojo maduekwe.
Umuahia the Abia capital has remained calm since the recent
development, While the Governor is yet to make any statements on the
development
